Whether you're having a slumber party or just hanging out with friends, a few great snacks can contribute to the festive atmosphere. The snack recipes here would also be great for watching a sporting event or movie on TV. Enjoy! (All these recipes are from my family. PLEASE don't reproduce them.)

Jello Finger Treats

Button Here's what you need: 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3 small boxes Jello (any flavor)
4 cups boiling water
Button Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until completely dissolved.
Pour into 13 x 9 cake pan and chill until firm, about 5 hours.
Button Cut into squares. These do not have to be refrigerated, but they should be kept covered in a cool, dry place. These make a great low-fat, low-sugar finger food for the kids. For a little variety, try using cookie cutters to make cute shapes.

Indoor S'mores

Button Here is what you need:

2/3 cup light corn syrup
2 tbsp. stick margarine
2 c. milk chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
8 c. Golden Grahams®
3 c. mini marshmallows
Button Grease a 13 x 9 cake pan.
Heat first three ingredients to boiling in a saucepan, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Pour over cereal in large mixing bowl. Toss quickly until cereal is completely coated.
Button Fold in marshmallows one cup at a time.
Press mixture evenly into the pan.
Let stand until firm for about 90 minutes.
Cut into squares.

Glazed Walnuts

Button Here's what you need:

2 cups walnut halves
1 tbsp. stick margarine
1 cup regular Dr Pepper
Salt
Button Cook first three ingredients in saucepan, stirring constantly until liquid has evaporated.
Spread nuts on greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle lightly with salt.
Button Roast in 350-degree oven for about 10 minutes or until golden.

Little Bits Pizzas

Button Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground beef or turkey
2 lbs. breakfast sausage
2 lbs. Velveeta, cut up into small pieces
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. garlic powder
Tabasco sauce
3 loaves party bread
Button Preheat oven to 350º.
Break up meats into a large skillet. Cook over medium heat until done. Drain.
Add oregano and garlic powder; mix thoroughly.
Add cut-up Velveeta. Simmer until cheese melts and spices mellow.
Add tabasco sauce to taste.
Button Put the party bread into the oven for just a few minutes to dry it out slightly.
Remove from oven and spoon about 1 tbsp. of meat mixture onto each slice.
Button You might want to put the pizzas into the oven for about 5 minutes to make the mixture stick to the bread.

This is one of my all-time favorite recipes for family get-togethers. It makes about 80 pizzas.

To finish off the party atmosphere, you might also enjoy tostada chips with Velveeta-Rotel sauce (one can Rotel tomatoes for every pound of Velveeta). Cold sodas finish off the festivities.
