At this year's 2001 Minuteman Chapter Dining Out, the Minuteman Chapter and the National Infantry Association was proud to award the Order of St. Maurice to four new inductees.

Mr. Adrain Cronauer, a former Air Force disc jockey for Armed Forces Radio during the Vietnam War and this year's guest speaker, received the Civis Award for outstanding  contributions to the infantry. Mr. Cronauer continues to support the infantry and all branches of the military as a senior board member of the Armed Forces Radio Broadcasting Association and as an attorney in the Arlington, VA area.

Mr. Tommy Hill, a long time member of the Army National Guard received the Civis Award for his contributions to the infantry. Mr. Hill was responsible for the inception of the Officer Candidate Program currently in use by the states today. Through Mr. Hills diligent service, many of today's Army National Guard infantry officer's received their commissions.

CPT (Ret) William Everett received the Centurian Award for outstanding contributions to the infantry. CPT Everett is a WW II veteran of Anzio, Cassino, Liri Valley, and the Campaign of Northern Italy. CPT Everett led his platoon during the Italian campaign, eventually becoming the Company Commander through attrition. CPT Everett is a resident of the D.C. area.

COL Frank Cook received the Centurian Award for outstanding contributions to the infantry. COL Cook is a veteran of the Vietnam War and currently works for the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs.

The awards were presented by LTC Douglas F. Mow Jr., the Minuteman Chapter president and MG Roger C. Schultz. MG Schultz is the Director of the Army National Guard and the Chapter's first inductee as well as a founding member. Congratulations to our inductees for a very well deserved award.
The theme for this years 2001 Dining out was "Infantry through the Ages".  Reinactors from the area dressed in era specific uniforms to bring the historical aspect of the infantry to life. Our histroical interpretors set up displays that ranged from early colonial encampments to camoflage netted WW II scenarios. Outstanding job.
