Marketing Plan Assignment

 

The following elements must be included in your Marketing Plan in order to receive full credit.

 

  1. Interesting Cover Page (names of team members, and Business that you are studying)
  2. Company Analysis (2-3 pages of information, detailing what products the company produces, management, how the company started, current sales, and any information that might allow the class to better understand the company and its products.)
  3. Competitive Analysis (in 1- 2 pages of information, analyze the direct competitors of the company, who are they, what products are in direct competition with yours, include information on  prices, advertisements, packaging etc….)
  4. Target Market Analysis (in 3-4 pages) discuss who is the specific target market for this product, develop an analysis based on demographics such as age, gender, race, education, income levels and any others that you might find interesting.  Create a survey and survey 35 people which are considered to be in the market for this product.  Appropriate pie charts, line graphs and column charts should be used to depict the data.  Discuss the Consumer Decision Making Process and how it affects your product.
  5. Product Analysis –(1-2 pages) in this section discuss your product and how it fits into the company’s existing product line.  Discuss specific product features, packaging, pricing, and distribution of your product.
  6. Advertising Campaign – develop the following for your product: 

§         Television (story board)

§         Radio

§         Newspaper or Magazine Ad (which ever is most appropriate)

§         Billboard or Outdoor advertisement

 

Develop a media plan for one week which shows when and where each advertisement will be placed and at what time of the day etc..

 

  1. Discuss Future Extensions/Product Lines that you would create for this product (if any) for your product – 1-2 pages

 

  1. Discuss Marketing Strategies (4 P’s of Marketing) 1-2 pages

 

** All reports are to be turned in inside of a duotang folder with all research materials in the pockets.  Please do not use plastic covers on each page!
