Maoist Internationalist Movement (MIM) Classics Page: Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, "Gang of Four"

MIM Classics Page

Classics page has moved! Go here!

This page is for Marxism-Leninism-Maoism theory and philosophy and its historical context before 1976, the death of Mao. It is important to note that quoting dead people does not usually prove rightness or wrongness--except when the question is keeping straight who said what, which is important when assessing historical blame or accomplishment.

This page is not an introduction to MIM or Maoism. For an introduction to MIM, we recommend "What Is MIM?" on the MIM homepage. There you will also find some introductions to Mao's works.

On this page, we seek to accomplish three things with regard to dead people like Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao & counterrevolutionaries like Trotsky:
1. Clarify who should be calling themselves Marxist-Leninist-Maoist and who should not.
2. Obtain historical context and reminders about the historic struggles over the formation of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
3. Elucidate those timeless aspects of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist methods known as philosophy or the replacement of philosophy by dialectical materialism.
Elsewhere at geocities, MIM has a page for post-1976 contemporary Maoism and controversies.
