.....at least thats how I spent some of my time.

In the confusion of which was the millennium end and the century beguinning, it was difficult for me to decide how to spend this occasion. I had ideas of saving for a trip to the bright lights of Shinjuku Japan, but in the end all I could manage was dreary dreams of Adelaide Terrace while listening to the Lifeforce Tenka soundtrack.
In greeting to the unknown, an impersonal format seemed appropriate, as did the music of a cyber metropolis in decay.
Today's star will be yesterday's memory. Digital technology says otherwise, but perhaps the 20th centuries artists will be forgotten in the same way as those from 19th century and earlier. The documentation and recording of material does not guarantee it will be accessed or remain popular.
Midi offered a new musicbox style format. All my favourite artists took a break and so did I, to listen to midi, chimes for the changing times.
