Game Night was held at Dan's tonight, with Dan, Francois, Lee, and myself as attendees. When I showed up toting Torres under my arm, they had Attack! all set up.

Notes: I'm writing this report almost a full month later, and I'm going by visual memory. I was able to trade with Lee pretty early so that I had a set of cards, giving me an early boost on production. Lee and Brian were in North and South America, respectively, while Dan and I were competing in Africa and Europe.

Dan and I were each moderately threatening each other, while Dan had a token presence in South America to prevent anyone from shipping over to Africa. Soon I squeezed Dan out of Saudi Arabia, and he killed my units in Africa, but Brian had an unambitious force in West Africa that Dan left alone for a bit.

Lee and Brian then began gruesome hostilities, taking turns destroying each other's units while Dan and I massed our armies. Brian then overextended himself in claiming all of South America, so Lee, who had gathered his army in Central America, took Brian's home city in Brazil. Within two turns, though, Brian had managed to take Lee's home city in retaliation, and was also threatening Dan in West Africa.

I had my borders pretty secure and then launched an attack against Dan in France. This attack, in the end, turned out to be somewhat illegal. I thought that the internal seas (like the Mediterranean and Caribbean) were useable by everyone, but they're only useable by the dominant navy. This made a difference because I was attacking Dan and using his navy to allow me to do so.

In the end, we shrugged it off, and going into Dan's last turn, he was down 11 to 8. He managed to take two regions via attacks, and then took one more by a diplomatic blitz, which gave him a tie with me. The tiebreaker is total card points, but Dan was short a few thanks to not drawing enough during the game, so we just called it a draw.
