A few years ago, certain scientists began to bicker back and forth the point that Pluto wasn't actually a planet but rather a large asteroid and wanted it removed from the list of planets. Then, there was the discovery a TENTH planet.  Now there's only EIGHT PLANETS. I bet there's some school districts out there that's glad they didn't buy SCIENCE books in the past four years! That's not to mention all the websites that will have to be updated!  Click on the SPACE TODAY ONLINE link below to find out more.  "Eight planets eh?  I guess everybody's downsizing these days."  (original quote by "Yours Truly.")
All eight (+ / -) planets. Plus, take the Solar System Quiz

Covering Space From Earth to Edge of the Universe

Read about the demotions of PLUTO,  and the TENTH planet, leaving us with EIGHT planets  and the astronomers who denounced them and how. Very comprehensive and educational.  At least a whole lot more comprehensible than the people that don't know a planet from an asteroid!
Literally mapping the terrain of the planets and moons in our solar system
Views of the Solar System
U.S. Naval Observatory: Web MICA
Celestial coordinates, sideral time, lunar and planetary configurations and aspects as well as rise/set times.
Solar System Collisions
This is just WAY COOL! Send an asteroid or comet of the size, speed and composition that you choose hurtling toward your favorite planet and reap the data of your catastrophe!
