The History of the Trumpet
Used as early as 1500 B.C, by the Egyptians and Tuetonics, the trumpet is an ancient instrument.
The ancient trumpet mostly consisted of one conical tube at one end and a lon thick tube at the other. until the mid 1800's when slides and valves were added.
Throughout history trumpets have had a strong military and religoius background.
During the Renaissance the trumpet was used more musically than before, especially in royal courts.
The trumpets popularity grew up until 1800. The trumpet was viewed as being to courtly.
Then in the 1800's slides and valves were put on the trumpet. After the changes the trumpet was then worked more into orchestral pieces.
