Tools
             Athame (associated with air)

A knife (more like a dagger!) which traditionally has a black handle and 12 inch blade. The athame is not used for cutting anything in particular.Instead it's used for cutting openings in circles and for channeling and focusing.I don't actually own one of these at this present time but maybe when I move out of this house I might buy one.

              Bolline

A bolline is a white-handled knife which can be used for cutting herbs only for magical use.

              Candle (associated with fire)

Ah, one of the most common wiccan tools.Candles can be used in spells and according to what spell you're doing then the colour will vary. You can also annoint them with a little oil. Some people prefer not to use candles (see alternative equipment)

              Chalice (associated with water)

A chalice will be used in rituals for the cake and ale ceremony.

               Cauldron

A symbol of infinite wisdom. It can also be used to prepare herbal things (not potions containing things like eye of newt, lol)

Bowl of salt (associated with earth)

When mixed with water, can be used to purify. Also can be sprinkled around the edge of the circle when you are casting.

               Incense (associated with air)

Used to purify space, clear out excess energy and to enhance a magical atmosphere.Incense can come in sticks, loose or cones (sticks are probably easier to use but cones and loose are more fun providing you know what you are doing!)

               Goddess/God symbols

Used to represent the Goddess and God.You can buy some gorgeous statues in new-age shops but they can be expensive. At the moment I have a sea urchin shell (Goddess) and a pine cone (God)

               Wand (associated with fire)

Used simiralily to an athame. You can also buy them in new-age shops but again they can be expensive and it's more fun to make your own.To make your own: find a stick that appeals for you,if you have to take one from the tree, thank it afterwards.Take it home then decorate it in beads, basically whatever you want.

               Pentacle (associated with earth)

A pentacle is a flat disc of clay, metal, wood or ceramic which usually has a pentagram carved in  it,but it sometimes can have other symbols.I personally made mine from some self-hardening clay.
