The Negaunee Rod and Gun Club was formed in 1908.

The Mid U.P. Shooters Inc. was formed in the 1960s, by the merger of the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club Skeet and Trap components with the Marquette Skeet Club.  Presently, there are approximately 60 members who participate in both summer and winter trap and skeet leagues and fun shoots.

Our mission is to maintain the education of the shooting sports in an enjoyable and safe manner.

Facilities maintained at the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club consists of:
             Main Club house - with Bar and Kitchen
             Horseshoe Courts
             3 Trap Fields - Including a doubles field
             2 Skeet Fields
             Sporting Clays Range
             100 yd, 200 yd, 600 yd rifle range
             Indoor Pistol Range with
                       - state of the art air filtration
                       - small bore (.22) only
                       - 8 position
             Outdoor Pistol Range

The Mid U.P. Shooters host registered trap shoots and two
registered skeet shoots each year.

Special Activities held at the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club include:
             Two Annual Registered Skeet Shoots
             Annual Gun Show
             Annual Hunter Safety Course in Summer
             Fall Youth Day
