That is the gift of submission..An all to rare gift it is... The giving of ones self to Another, for love, to be taken care of, to be protected, honoured and cherished with respect. And for Their use and pleasures..Giving up one's will for that of the Other's.
With accepting this gift of submission the Dominants take on a great responsibility...He/She is making a vow to see to the welfare of the submissive, not only the sexual needs but the mental and physcal needs as well as the emotional needs. A vow to be there for them in and out of the bedroom..They offer the sub love and protection, respect and cherish them knowing how hard it is to give this gift and knowing it is of the highest value. Knowing They have had to earn this gift.. that it is not given lightly or casually...
The Dominant earns the gift of submission by being honest, strong yet not unyeilding.. Firm but not uncaring.. and by showing others the respect They Themselves wish to be shown... The Dominant takes time in getting to know the sub as a person first... and embarks on a frienship before ever thinking of anything deeper... taking time to teach as is The Dominants first and foremost responsibility..
Yes Both have heavy responsibilities to the other. The submissive sees to their Dom/Domme's every desire every wish every pleasure that is within their limits to fullfil. The sub is one of the most pleasing of persons. Always striving to gain the pleasure of the Dominant. To maintain His/Her honor in all ways of speech, action and thought. The sub has a rocky road in chosing the right Dominant but one of unforetold happiness when they do find the One for them. Weeding out the abusers and wanna be's to find that One true Worthy Dominant to kneel before and offer his/her service.
Some may ask why bother if it is so hard to find the right Dom/Domme to serve. Well only the submissive can answer that. perhaps it is the need to belong to another or the burning desire to serve and please that drives us, that makes us willing to risk our feelings over and over to find that One.
