Our children are daily lied to and deceived By teachers they are told to trust Our children no longer know what to believe The truth is now crumbled to dust I cry for the children I cry for the children Like Jeremiah cried for Judah I cry for the children The schools teach our children to dishonor God And disregard what he has said Those who follow scripture are classified odd So that which is good is called bad. I cry for the children I cry for the children Like Jeremiah cried for Judah I cry for the children When children disagree with what's taught in school They risk being forced to take 'meds' What 'syndrome' has a child who is just not fooled And will not be passively led I cry for the children I cry for the children Like Jeremiah cried for Judah I cry for the children There's hope for our children if we tell them the Way God's Word is eternally true The schools want no part of what God has to say I'll teach them myself -- will you too? I cry for the children I cry for the children Like Jeremiah cried for Judah I cry for the children |
