-Another great multiplayer from Nintendo. Super Mario Kart was a bit more difficult than Mario Kart 64, I've been hearing. Well most reviews of this game are really good or really bad. Gameplay: A- -It has a so-so 1-player. There are many items you can use against opponents while you are driving. The tracks have wide turns, which is a reason why this game is easier. The courses are well laid out and vary in sizes and obstacles. You must "slide" on curves to hold your speed and go for a mini boost. The multiplayer battle mode is awesome though. You have 3 balloons and try to knock the opponents balloons. Graphics: C+ -Definelty not the best. Nintendo could hav made it a whole lot better. The tracks are so-so. It looks more of a cheap cartoon than 3-D. Sound: B+ -It's ok. The track sounds are good. The players voices are great. Toad's cry and Mario's "way-to-go!" Challenge: C -Like I mentioned, the SNES version is harder. Mario Kart doesnt take a lot of effort to get 1st place in Championship. Replay: B -The multiplayer is the only thing you'll come back for in this game. The 1-player isn't what you'll come back for. Grade: 94% "A must-have for the N64." |
