Bookmark this page. Download the E.T. SCREENMATE. I recently got an E.T. CD-ROM with a screensaver program, a dress up game, a wormhole game, a communicator game, and a trivia game. I'd even extracted some icons and merged them to create an icon library file, which may be viewed with the Windows Packager program.

Roberta Rogow's mp3 Song for a Closely Encountered Person sounds like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. She also sang and wrote E.T.'s Homesick Song (E.T., Phone Home), to the melody of Sloop John B. Her songs were posted with her permission. Here are some soundbytes and a trailer from this great film.

Michael Jackson had narrated an out of print E.T. story record and sang the song SOMEONE IN THE DARK, written by Alan Bergman and his wife, Marilyn Bergman, and composed by Rod Temperton. This song was later recorded by TKA for their Scars of Love CD. Here's the chorus to that song:

WHEN SOMEONE IN THE DARK REACHES OUT TO YOU
AND TOUCHES OFF A SPARK THAT COMES SHINING THROUGH,
IT TELLS YOU NEVER BE AFRAID.
THEN SOMEWHERE IN YOUR HEART YOU CAN FEEL THE GLOW,
A LIGHT TO KEEP YOU WARM WHEN THE NIGHT WINDS BLOW
LOOK FOR THE STRANGER IN THE SKY!
I BELIEVE YOU AND I
COULD NEVER REALLY SAY GOODBYE-
WHEREVER YOU MAY BE,
I'LL LOOK UP AND SEE
SOMEONE IN THE DARK FOR ME!

On 7/17/82 both Steven Spielberg and Melissa Mathison wrote a 9 page story treatment for an E.T. sequel called NOCTURNAL FEARS, which I'd bought from a convention. In this story E.T. is named Zrek. There are also some evil aliens, led by Korel. All of them visit earth and meet the main characters from the movie. If you want an official sequel, I recommend William Kotzwinkle's Book of the Green Planet. Several E.T. games are available.

Please check out the official Website, hear the characters, and read the news. There are some Web pages for The E.T. Adventure Ride in Universal Studios in Florida and Japan.

Please post some messages about the film and related merchandise in Yahoo!’s message board and spielbergfilms.com Forums.
