MESFAP ( formerly MESP)
is a coalition of madison east highschool students ( so far ) intent on peace and civil freedoms in different issues and fronts. Meeting during silent reading on thursdays in room 260
No matter how I put it, basically, now we are concentrating on the unjustified war in Iraq, and are sympathetic and determined enough to get out and do something about it.
The March 5th books not bombs nation wide walk out was partly organized by MESFAP,
a few hundred students turned out, marched all the way to bascom hill, and eventually went to make some noise at the capitol.  Thanks to everybody who participated, and even to those who didn't, in that some weren't able to leave class for academic reasons.

I encourage everyone to not only oppose this war, but get informed about the reasons and effects of this war, because knowledge is a powerful thing, usually... unless your a republican.

The US leaders think once again that they have the right to go and "fix" other countries governments, while at home, we have a president who wasn't really elected, enormous poverty, and a high need for public education. Once the US wakes up from this time of confused, dazed, bloodthirsty ignorance the real leaders will take the stage. Our voices will echo off of the streets and will shape the world with their reverberations . But how long should you wait? Don't!, get out and get your voice heard, when someone hears a voice, it sparks an opinion, their imagination, and that is a wonderful thing. Get out, do something. Peace.
