Last night I dreamed about you, Mother.
At first I was only three and we were
Walking along the beach together
You were again so young and beautiful.

Then in my dream, it was my very first
Day at school, you were there to hold my hand.
All my fears went away just as they had
On my first day of school so many years ago.

Then I was a teenager and you were there,
You gave me comfort when my first love
Had left me with a broken heart.
You told me I’d meet the right man some day.

That prediction was so right as my dream
Moved on to the day of my marriage.
You and Dad were right their by my side
To give me with assurance to the man I love.

Mom, you were with me for the entire
Nine months when I carried each of my three.
Now I joined you in Motherhood and was so
Blessed to have you giving me good advice.

Each step of being a Mother gave me a better
Understanding of what a treasure you were.
One of my life’s best days was the one when
You told me I‘d become a very good Mother.

Then my dream turned to a nightmare as
Once again I was by your hospital bed.
On that sad day God came and took you
Away to Heaven as a band of angel sang.

However next in my dream I was walking
Toward Heaven’s Gate and I saw you there.
Again you took my hand and said “I love you,
But you must go back it’s not your time!”

I then woke up, I knew God had sent me this
Lovely gift, Mother, reliving those memories
Of all those wonderful years I had you.
Happy Mother’s Day to all Mothers.

I wrote this Mothers Day tribute to my
Beautiful, loving Mother with tears in my eyes.
Tears of joy for the many years of childhood
that she gave me her loving care. Tears of
sadness about the day I sat by her bedside as
she started her journey to Heaven. Lonely tears
for the years I’ve missed her since her death
and finally, again tears of joy when I realized
that she is waiting for me and I’ll join her one
day very soon. Dear Mother I Love You!
