Angels Of Christmas

Angels at Christmas
Are a special symbol to me.
I always have a beautiful one
On the top of my tree.

An angel informed Mary
She had an important task.
She was told of the legacy
That for eternity would last.

Jesus was born in a stable
That gave shelter from the cold.
While angel songs rang out
Over that manger long ago.

Angels were there to announce
The Christ child’s birth.
They appeared to shepherds
Who welcomed Him to earth.

On that first Christmas
Angels played an important part.
That is why at Christmas time
They are so close to my heart.
