Thanks for getting back to me on this.

I can tell you that James Routlson died in 1917 was buried on 12 July 1917 in Wedderburn Cemetery, Wesley section.

Catherine survived him and died in Richmond, Victoria, in 1922. She was initially interred in Foostcray Cemetery and two years later was buried with her son in Fawkner Cemetery. I haven't looked up the BDM registration numbers.

Do you know anything further about their lives? I know a little bit that might be of interest to you. For example James filed for a divorce in 1861 (File No. 1861-84/33) but while he was given a legal separation he was not denied permission to marry anyone else. Whereas Catherine had left James in 1855 and had "married" another man Frederick Owen Jones, June 27, 1860 in Inglewood (Reg. No. 1860-2084). This was apparently a long term relationship that was the reason for the breakdown in Catherine's marriage to James. However the court forbad her too from other marriages. It was shortly after this that James and Catherine got back together and started their family.

I have researched the Crow family from Ireland and their immigration to Australia. I am descended from Catherine's sister, Mary Ann Steen.

I have written up what I do know about the Crow family if that is of any interest to you. I am keen to find out more about Catherine and James Roulston.
