James Littlejohn, James Lockett, Frederick Lovekin, Thomas Low, |
LittlejohnJames Littlejohn 1811 - 1894, went to Tasmania as a convict, tried in Perth Scotland for stealing and convicted 14 Dec 1829, sentenced to 14 years transportation, arrived in Hobart 26 July 1830 on the third voyage of the Sir Charles Forbes which left Plymouth 5 Apr 1830 with 160 male convicts (two died during the voyage), and in 1844 he received his full pardon. He married Margaret Kearns born 1837, the daughter of John Kearns, who was also a convict for a time, in Tasmania. James Littlejohn became a boat builder on the Huon River, at Franklin, Tasmania.On 13 Sep 1881 his daughter Elizabeth Littlejohn 1861 - 1941, wed Frank Austin and had 9 children. She died at her son John's home in Dover on 29 Dec 1941.
