The Bible League:  Persecuted

Mexico
Eighteen-year-old Tomas Lopez was attacked in the streets of Las Margaritas by about 20 people. Brutally beating and kicking him, they eventually hauled Tomas off to jail. Village leaders then went to other homes of Christians with sticks, machetes, and rocks and attacked the families.

Nigeria
As many as 200 people were killed and many hundreds more were injured during several days of conflict between Christians and Muslims in northern Nigeria.

Sudan
Burning Christians is a common tactic used by the Sudanese government to force Christians to give up their faith. Christians are often dragged to open fires, and held down by their arms and legs — screaming for mercy — until they give up their faith or die.

Kazakstan
In the village of Michurina, one of the daughters in the Turkman family accepted Christ into her life. Since the family was Muslim, she knew she would face difficulties over this decision.   What she didn't expect was a sickle-wielding father. After his bloody attack on his own daughter, the girl was hospitalized with severe injuries.

Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, 500 angry Muslims surrounded thirty Christian families and demanded they return to the Muslim faith.

Indonesia
Just last year, a rampaging mob of militant Muslims attacked a Christian youth camp. One of the young people, a 15-year-old boy named, Roy Pontoh, was forced to stand in front of the crowd while being interrogated.

"Who are you?" the leader yelled. To that, Roy responded, "I am a soldier of Christ." Angered by his response, the mob leader swung his machete and cut off Roy's left arm.
