Victorian Houses

divider

I have always been fasinated by victorian homes and turn of the century Southern Colonials. Their beautity and craftsmanship is unsurpassedThese came from the states of California, Ohio, North Carolina and one from Georgia. We have a historic district in Charlotte consisting of colonial mansions built for the wealthy land owners in the mid 1800's. Most are registered with the Historical Society and they must approve even the smallest change to the houses that are registered. this insures that each house remains as itwas when first built, down to the paint color and wallpaper. The pictures don't do them justice. A secial thank you to Alex Robinson for allowing me to use pictures of his parent's pink house in the Sacramento CA area. they are 2 outside pictures shoqwn below, (built in 1867), the front room filled with such beautiful antiques, the library ceiling, and the larger 10,000 Koi pond. The home is surrounded by the most beautiful flowers and roses of every color.
