Jubilee refers to a time of relaxation, a time to be still, and a time to recover from life's struggles. To all of you who have experienced or are experiencing the horrors of abuse, I encourage you to be still and remember what you know to be true. For me, my jubilee began months ago. As I update this page (4 years after inception) I am so grateful to be out of the abusive relationship and finally able to see my abuser for what he is...a wife batterer. God revealed the truth to me over these couple of years in a gentle, quiet manner. This knowledge did not come quicklly and never as fast as I wanted. But it does come. I encourage you to have a cup of coffee with me as we discuss recovery from abusive relationships in the safety of our own space. Since one of the most important healing properties to abuse is to know and try to understand the confusion, I have compiled some information for you to read when you are ready. My hope is that the truth will give you a firm foundation in understanding your circumstances. I moved several years ago from my beautiful home, leaving my abusive husband of 4 years. Even though I tried to hide the facts, I know that this marriage was abusive. I prayed for a miracle in restoring the health of my marriage. Maybe the miracle is found in my jubilee, not in my marriage. My goal in writing this site is to educate you about your personal Bill of Rights, emotional and verbal abuse, and to help in my healing and recovery.
