Lynne Scoggan and Herbie Mathis met through a mutual friend in the Greater Summerville Music Forum in mid 2002. They soon realized they shared unique vocal blend and a love of the same style of mellow, acoustic genres of soft rock, country, and easy listening music. They both sing, harmonize, and play rhythm guitar. Early 2004, they decided to form a duet and together can perform over 300 tunes.
Their music includes tunes from the 70's to today by artists such as The Eagles, Jim Croce, John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, Sheryl Crow, and Melissa Etheridge to name a few.
Mellow Yellow has performed at Cisco's Cafe, McNeill's Pub, Woody's Place, Rob's Bar & Grill, Scotties Restaurant, A Dough Re Mi Pizzaria, Penachio's Seafood and Italian Restaurant, Jeff Gordon Coffee & Fine Teas, The Map Room, and Stone Creek Grill.
They have a variety of PA equipment and are able to play anything from a small, intimate setting to a small concert venue.
