I've finally developed a system
that will allow me to update the site a lot faster and makes things overall a
lot easier for me, so expect updates more frequently in the future. I really am
trying but college is killing me. Just work with me. ^_^ I've added most of the
submissions from my yahoo mailbox, there are a couple left that I will update
next week sometime. For people that haven't heard from me, think I forgot your
submission,
or submitted your work to my AOL mailbox, please send your work back in and yell
at me if it will make you feel better, I know I deserve it. ^_^ Just send it in
and I'll get it up as soon as I have time.
I have a lot of new ideas planned for the site, I just don't know if I'll have
time to implement them. I'm considering a new site layout, a rating system for
the fics, and maybe even a BBS. I'd also like to start up a review committee
like I always wanted to. Fanfiction writing is a thankless world and there are
many authors out there, many here on the site, that deserve praise and
recognition for their hard work and dedication. I may start accepting
applications for the review committee in my next update if I can get some
guidelines together. If anybody is interested, please email me and we can
discuss it.
On a minor note, there was a question by one of the hosted authors of this site.
I'd like to reaffirm something. No fanfic gets on this site unless I have either
a.) read the fic and loved it so much that I contacted the author and asked to
host it on my site or b.) it has been submitted to me by the author. I don't
post fics that I don't have permission from the author to post. Period. Being a
fanfic author myself, I treat all other fanfics authors with the same respect I
would like to be treated with. That having said, if your work is on this site
and you feel that it shouldn't be, let me know. We can discuss this. But please
remember that I only post fanfics if I asked permission from the author or it
was submitted to me. Thank you.
Okay, ::trumpets sound:: here's what I've updated so far.
Added a King's Field, Xenosaga, and FFX archive to the site, added the next three fanfics
to "The Wise Man Chronicles" page in the Star Ocean 2 Archive; "Xenogears:
Remembrance" Chapter Four to the XG Archive; first six chapters of "Reflections
of Reno" to the FF7 Archive; removed Moon Child's work from the LoD Page at the
request of the author; "Ritual of Purification" to the VP Archive; "A Warrior's
Soul" to the FFX archive; "Sacrifices" to the KF Archive; "Rebirth" to the WA
Archive; "Griever" to the FF8 Archive; changed a few things to the Submissions
requirements; and a new link to the Link Exhange.
Also, there is now an official website for "The Wise Man Chronicles" and it is a
sister site to The RPG Fanfiction Headquarters. Humor me and go check it out so
you can tell me I just need to give up on fanfiction. ^_^
