| On this page I will be adding info on the new radio service that is sweeping across america HD Radio. HD Radio is the new standard for every AM and FM broadcast stations. | This is so far my favorite HD radio.This radio has excellent selectivity and sensitivity FM reception. The sound quailty of this table top clock radio is not that good while listening to the radio using its speakers. But it does have a good sound while using headphones. I am going to replace the small speakers later. Overall rating 4 1/2 Stars this radio would have 5 stars but beause of the weak audio brings it down More to come... |
| This HD radio has a very good selectivity and sensitivity on the FM band and has great audio. But I have had nothing but problems with this radio. I have contacted the dealer that sold the radio and they have sent 2 more for me to try and all of them have the same problem. Here is the problem Bad Memory: I can not set any preset to #5,6,7,8,9 they show full and preset will not add new preset if I hold down the button for more than 5 seconds the radio will not overwrite the other presets. I can only add stations to preset numbers 1-4 and 0. I have reset this radio many times and started with the preset channels showing nothing in the presets. After I enter my presets to 1 thru 4 out of nowhere presets appear on #5 98.5 #6 90.1 #7 98.1 #8 106.1 #9 108.1 and I can not overwrite them this happens on both preset fm banks I have not tried the am band. Sangean is sending me a replacement radio, as so as I get it I will update this commemt. Overall rating 3 Stars just because of the selectivity and sensitivity on the FM band and great audio.
