  Godzilla
I saw my first giant  monster movie as a child. I've loved them ever since. This page is dedicated to Godzilla and other Giant Monsters from the movies.
Godzilla: it is a name that strikes unspeakable terror in the hearts of countless victims of this unstoppable destructive force which has been unleashed upon the world.
The world had just been devastated by horrors and death as it plunged into a bloody World War Two. It had witnessed the greed of vast empires struggling against one another, at the great cost of lives and personal freedom. It had seen the Blitzkrieg, the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, and a nightmarish holocaust, then came the mass destruction caused by the Atomic bomb.
Even though the War was over at last, the age of fear was not. A new “Cold War” had begun. The “Arms Race” was escalating. Nations were amassing great stockpiles of Thermal Nuclear weapons, enough to destroy the earth several times over. It seemed like nobody had learned anything.
In 1954, Godzilla arose out of the sea, the embodiment of, all man’s fears.
That first Godzilla destroyed most of Tokyo. He seemed to be an unstoppable force. It was thanks to the genius and self sacrifice of one man, Dr.  Daisuke Serizawa, that this monster was vanquished.
Since that time many other Godzilla have appeared. Sometimes these creatures seem maliciously set on the destruction of mankind, while at other times they appear to be malevolent protectors as they defend us from other monsters or alien races. The truth is that Godzilla have never been friends of mankind. That’s not to say they are evil. Godzilla are unimaginable forces of power driven by their hunger for energy, and driven by rage, when they feel threatened. Godzilla is generally totally disinterested in people, unless they are in the way. Then watch out!
Little is known about the origin of the Godzilla species. The most widely accepted explanation is that of Dr. Kyohei Yamane, noted paleontologist who theorized in 1954 that Godzilla is an ancient gigantic dinosaur species (sometimes called Godzillasaurus) awakened and mutated by U.S. atomic testing.
Members of the cult of Hirotoshi Isayama, in Japan, claim that Godzilla are the disembodied spirits of all of the people killed during the Pacific Conflict (World War II) who died as the result of Japanese aggression and that the monster is seeking revenge against Japan for their sins.
Nobody knows for sure how many Godzilla there are alive on the Earth today.
Little is known about their reproduction, but a Godzilla egg was found on Adona Island and successfully hatched and raised by humans.
In 1995 the entire city of Tokyo was destroyed when an extremely large and powerful Godzilla experienced a cataclysmic meltdown. The city would have been uninhabitable for years due to the radiation which was emitted, if not for the fact that the Godzilla raised by humans absorbed said radiation.
Ten years later during the Xilien invasion and the Final War, a Godzilla (believed by some to be the same Godzilla) defeated a genetically engineered form of Ghidorah, saving the Earth.
An Adult Godzilla will grow to be from 40 to 100 meters tall and weigh from 20,000 to 60,000 tons.  Godzilla are bipedal and walks upright on powerful legs. Their thick hide is rough, with bumpy charcoal grey or green scales, a long powerful tail, and bone colored dorsal plates shaped like maple leaves. These Dorsal plates differ in shape and position with each individual, and they grow in size with age.
Godzilla's greatest power is their atomic breath. When they uses it, their dorsal fins glow ominously, and then releases a concentrated blast of radiation from their mouth, which can vary in intensity from a superheated vapor to a beam with concussive and explosive properties. This power is commonly mistaken for breathing fire. Godzilla is also depicted as being highly resistant to damage thanks to a tough hide and an advanced healing factor called Regenerator G-1. Godzilla are known to have a high degree of physical strength and dexterity.
Godzilla breaths air, but they can go long periods of time without air. They are therefore able to survive in the ocean for long periods of time, especially in a state of hibernation that may last for a number of years.
Little is known about the reproductive cycle of Godzilla, except that they lay eggs. When the egg hatches a baby Godzilla takes several years to grow to maturity.

"Godzilla" Lyrics

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down.
Helpless people on subway trains
Scream for God as he looks in on them.
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town.

Oh no, they say he's got to go—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
Oh no, there goes Tokyo—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .

Rinji news o moshiagemasu!
Godzilla ga Ginza hoomen e mukatte imasu!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!

Oh no, they say he's got to go—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .
Oh no, there goes Tokyo—
Go, go, Godzilla . . .

History shows again and again
How nature points out the folly of men . . .
Godzilla!
