"Want to make
a difference in your local community? Join Volunteer 8, a partnership
between Volunteer San Diego and Local 8, to plant flowers, clear debris,
and clean up Canyonside Recreation Center, located
on Black Mountain Road. Your efforts to beautify the Center will allow
many more individuals, families, sports teams and youth groups to visit
the Center and enjoy its programs all year round. Individuals and
families are needed to help us pull weeds, plant ground cover and shrubs
around the tennis courts, pick up debris around the baseball and
softball fields and beautify a neighborhood Center. All volunteers will
receive a t-shirt to wear proudly knowing that they are making
volunteering a way of life!"
