My adventure began on December 8, 2005, when I signed a contract with Maryknoll Lay Missioners to do volunteer service work for three years in the country of Brazil.
On this website, I hope to share some of my more memorable joys and struggles, my lessons learned, the quirks of my life as I try (despite the hopelessly white fluorescence of my Vermont "snow tan") to blend into Brazilian culture, the daily routine, hilarious moments, language blunders, and everything else in between.
