Common Sense in Government
No, I do not believe this is a contradiction in terms...Just something unseen in this country for at least a hundred years.
The purpose of this page is to provide a central location for reporting the activities of government. There are links to government legislative bodies and other organizations. There are also pages for summaries or commentary.
Tragically, there appears to be a lack of accurate information available in the traditional press. Buzzwords are used to cover the intent or effect of laws. The only way to stay abreast of what is going on is to look at the bills about to be voted on. The only way to insure your elected officials are representing you is to "be all over them like white on rice." They need to know whether you are satisfied or dissatisfied with their voting record and attendance. The links on these pages will enable you to stay abreast of current legislation and provide you with contact information for your elected officials.
Remember: Your elected officials work for you. You pay dearly for their services (or lack thereof) through excessive taxation. Hold them accountable for their actions as you would with any employee.
