legislation intended to facilitate management of hazardous substances

Served on the city’s Nuisance Appeals Board, which had responsibility

Freight shipping hub; successfully managed the incident without disrupting
time-critical freight transfer operations. ·
Responded to a serious in-flight emergency involving the short return
of an outbound 737 passenger aircraft following the mid-air explosion in its
starboard engine. ·
Responded to major hydraulic failure of 727 passenger aircraft;
emergency shutdown of engines and auxiliary power averted wheel-well fire and
emergency evacuation of passengers. ·
Responded to the emergency landing of twin-engine relief aircraft
carrying medical supplies that misjudged approach in white-out conditions
during blizzard, nearly striking control tower and parked aircraft on loading
ramp while landing on a taxiway intersecting the active runway. ·
Designed and delivered peer-to-peer training on emergency operations
involving military aircraft preceding a major international airshow. ·
Completed training as a hazardous materials responder as part of the
formation of a regional hazardous materials team. |
