Introduction

 

        The Metropolitan Co-operative Housing Society (MCHS) is a registered society under the Karnataka State Registrar of Societies Act, 1960. The Society acquires Residential sites in bulk from the Bangalore Development Authority and inturn allots them to its members who belong to the All India Service. The MCHS has made such allotments in the BTM Layout (Phase I), HSR Layout Sector 6 (Phase II), HSR Layout Sector 4 (Phase III) and now plans to acquire sites in the newly approved Arkavathi Layout (Phase IV).

MCHS Phase II:

        The MCHS Phase II is located between Hosur and Sarjapur Road, sandwiched between Central Silk Board and Firn Hill Apartments. The outlay sketch is as under:-

The MCHS Phase II has a total area of 55,648.78 Sq.Mts.   The total number of sites formed are 79 and they are of the following category:-

  The total area year marked for Civic Amenity in Phase II is about 1,612.92 Sq.Mts.  The total length of motor-able roads within the colony is 13,844.28 Mts. Of the total 79 sites formed, 34 sites have been allotted for IAS Officers, 14 sites for IPS Officers and 31 sites for IFS Officers. The residents of the MCHS Phase II have formed a Metropolitan Cooperative Housing Society Resident’s Welfare Association (MCHSRWA) with its members. The Ladies of the colony have come together to form an Association and is fully functional.
