About Miss Brigola
To Contact Tiffini Brigola:

Miss Tiffini Brigola grew up in Crowley, Louisiana, about twenty-five miles west of Lafayette, right off of Interstate 10.  She attended Crowley High School, where she took college-bound courses and participated in many extra-curricular activities.  After graduating with honors from CHS in 1993, she enrolled in the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she pledged the Alpha Mu chapter of the sorrority Sigma Sigma Sigma.  Miss Brigola graduated from ULL in 1999 with a bachelors degree in General Studies, her concentration area being Liberal Arts, English.  For a short time, she attended Nicholls State University to work on her teaching certification and transferred back to ULL in order to complete it.
Before becoming a teacher, Miss Brigola spent three years working as a substitute teacher in Acadia Parish.  She spent time subbing both regular and special education classes and all grade levels from second grade to twelfth grade.  She was a cheerleading and gymnastics coach, working with junior high and high school age teams as well as all-star squads.
Miss Brigola moved to Morgan City in 2000 when she was offered her current job of teaching English at Morgan City High School.  This school year will be her fifth year in St. Mary Parish, teaching English at MCHS.  In her years at MCHS, she has taught English I, English I Honors, English II, English III, and Teen Leadership.
Upon her arrival at MCHS, she was given the duties of sponsoring the Freshman Class and the Lifesavers organization.  Miss Brigola remained the Freshman Class sponsor for three years and the sponsor of Lifesavers for two years until the organization was dropped from the school's list of clubs.  For one year after the dropping of Lifesavers, Miss Brigola became the sponsor of MCHS's Key Club.  Miss Brigola is currently in her second year of coaching and sponsoring Morgan City High's first-ever Junior Varsity Cheerleading squad.
PHILOSOPHY ON TEACHING
Teaching is an art as well as a science.  The best teachers are those who can present their material in ways that are both fun and relevant to the students.
ADVICE TO STUDENTS
Don't take your education for granted--take in as much information as you can.  Even if you don't end up using everything you learn in the future, at least you'll be great at Trivial Pursuit.
Tiffini Brigola is a twenty-nine year old single mother of a four-year-old daughter, Breelyn Brigola.  She doesn't get much free time, but when she does, she enjoys reading, writing, and listening to all kinds of music.  She hopes to one day write a great work of fiction, but until then, she spends most of her time grading papers, planning her lessons, working with her cheerleaders, and raising her daughter.  Miss Brigola hopes to soon be able to begin working on a masters degree.
