DILLY |
DILLY Endless, unconditional love Listens but never tells Greets with enthusiasm every time Knows everyone by their smells Sits by your knee and watches Gazes soulfully into your eyes Puts her chin upon your lap Is honest, she never lies Faithful, trusting, loved by most But makes a lot of noise Likes being in the garden Playing with her toys But now she's upset the neighbours To a new home she has to go My heart, it is now breaking For the dog I love and know. MY DOG Even though I sit and cry My tears won't fall, my eyes are dry. I think about the things that woman said The hurt, the pain, makes me see red. Can't she think? Can't she see? Rehoming our dog is gutting me! I want my dog to stay with me Where will she live? How will her life be? One choice have I, one thing to do I'll give her up to make a life new. Michelle 26.07.04 |
FLICKER OF HOPE Did you feel that flicker? See that glimmer of hope? Relief from despair From emotions that choke. When all of your choices Get taken from you To whom do you turn? And what should you do? Shall I sit back in anguish? Or let the fighting begin? Am I doing what's right? Am I committing a sin? Please someone help me? To do what I should To relinquish my Dilly To a home that is good. I don't want to lose her I don't want her to go We're all gonna miss her For we love her you know. Please let it be family With my mum and dad At least then we can see her Which won't be so bad! Michelle 26.07.04 |
