Scholarships OMAF provides 3 to 4 scholarships every year with the aim of fulfilling one of our most important mandates: encouraging medical students to gain experience in the practice of medicine in developing countries. The scholarships allow motivated medical students to pursue research or clinical electives overseas. Scholarship applications are competitive, and the number of scholarships is limited-it varies according to the level of financial support we get from alumni and other donors. During the academic year, OMAF hosts a series of informal presentations given by past recipients of OMAF scholarships. These presentations include slide shows and information sessions, organized in order to provide a forum for students returning from overseas electives to share their experiences with other members of the medical community. |
