Family, Friendship, Love or Valentine’s Day Book Report

Due February 20, 2004

1. Choose two books that you can read aloud (to other kids).
2. Practice reading the books and pronouncing the words well.
3. Put sticky notes in places that you think are important…write on the sticky notes.
4. Be ready to discuss the book, and it’s meaning, symbols, etc.
5. Write a 5 paragraph report (for each story) including the following:
1. Introduction – title, author, illustrato0r, genre, theme
2. Characters and setting
3. Summary of story
4. Text to self, text to text, text to world connection (in other words, relate the story to yourself, another story, or to something in the world).
5. What about family, friendship, love, Valentine’s Day is important to you? How do these ideas shape you as a person?
