| By Lia Haberman Hollywood hellraiser Colin Farrell could soon be tamed into domesticity by midnight feedings and diaper changings. Maybe not. Nevertheless, the chain-smoking expletive-spewing actor confirmed the baby news to British TV host Paul Ross today on ITV's This Morning show. "Yes, it's true--I am going to be a dad," said Farrell. "I haven't even told my family yet." |
| Proud papa-to-be, who reportedly impregnated an unidentified model during a one-night stand, was "chuffed" at the news and expects the baby to be born "in about six months." Rumors of the Daredevil star's impending fatherhood had circulated for days but weren't addressed by Farrell until today's broadcast. Calls to his publicist have not been returned. The 26-year-old, briefly married to fellow actress Amelia Warner, has had a string of high-profile liaisons, most recently with Britney Spears, who accompanied him down the red carpet at The Recruit premiere. Before that, Farrell was linked to Demi Moore and Naomi Campbell. Farrell, who streaked to fame in the last three years with Tigerland, Minority Report and The Recruit, will be hard to miss in the coming year. He stars in next month's thriller Phone Booth, followed by an adaptation of the '70s TV series S.W.A.T. Then this fall, he'll appear in the Jerry Bruckheimer production Victoria Guerin, plus an Irish indie release called Intermission. Next up he has been tapped to play Alexander the Great in the Oliver Stone epic due to start shooting this summer for a 2004 release--competing against golden boy Leonardo DiCaprio in the Baz Luhrmann-helmed biopic on the world conqueror.
