Pink Bares Her Teeth
Pop star Pink (
Visit MCC's Pink page) may have climbed the charts with her mega hit "Get The Party Started" -- but nowadays she's climbing on top of bars and taking chunks out of the very people around to protect her. Yes, the 23-year-old singer, also known as Alicia Moore, has been acting very strange lately. In addition to publicly dissing Britney Spears (Visit MCC's Britney Spears page), she's also managed to put her own bodyguard in the hospital.

Reports claim that after returning to her trendy hotel in Australia, drunk as a skunk, Pink began dancing on the bar until her security tried to calm her down. One eyewitness told the World Entertainment News Network, "... all of a sudden she climbed on to the bar and
started to dance provocatively.... She was having a great time and nobody was going to stop her fun." But then it got ugly. "When the hotel staff started to complain and tried to get her down, she was furious and started to kick and lash out. Her security guards then tried to entice her down but after a long wait, one of them clambered onto the bar to physically restrain her. That's when she bit his arm. The guy yelled like a dog. He was obviously in a lot of pain and had to go to a nearby hospital for first aid. It looked nasty ... Everybody was stunned by her behavior."

Apparently unfazed by the event, Pink soon left the hotel to continue partying until 6 o'clock in the morning. Hmm, puts a whole new spin on that drinking phrase "hair of the dog that bit you," doesn't it?

As for Pink's disdain for Britney? The Queen of Pop tries to brush it off, but is still concerned about why she's getting her mixed signals. "I heard that Pink said some really negative things about me," Britney told Rolling Stone. "I met her, and she was really nice. She sent me flowers at my hotel room. And the next week she said something like, 'I don't think it's cool the way that she's like a puppet and she's really smiley and happy all the time.' She's probably doing that to protect her whole gimmick thing," Britney continued. "I respect that, but don't be a hypocrite and put me down when you're, like, performing with your belly showing, too. And the reason why I'm smiling is because I'm grateful. I'm not the type of person to walk around and be like, 'I'm the coolest girl.' I still think her music rocks. But the whole thing hurt my feelings. I felt like, 'I thought you liked me. You sent me flowers.'"
