Need a set of leathers?  These are for sale as well.
CBR 900RR: This is one mean bike.  900cc power in about the same or less weight than many 600cc sportbikes.  This bike is equiped with a Two Brothers exhaust and a Viper alarm.  Throttle response is not a touchy as the Kawasaki Ninja, but the transmission sound and feel is not near as sweet.  During long trips, the angled edge of the seat becomes pretty uncomfortable as it feels you are sitting on the edge of a box.  The tank sits up higher which keeps you from getting down as low as the Ninja, but there is plenty of windbreak from the fairing.  Handle bar placement feels good and low, yet not too far away.  There is definitely a different feel to the CBR when compared to the Ninja, but the bike handles crisp and responds well.  Power, no need to ask.  Your hyperdrive is only a twist away.  The six speed transmission is geered much taller than my old 600R and I have to remember to use my available rpms.  This bike is wonderful, but does not have the low end kick that the Kawi delivers.  With all that power, I am kind of glad.  I would hate to get tossed out of the saddle before I left first gear on this monster.

Road Trip: Well I finally got in on a roadtrip with some friends and boy was this a learning experience.  First bit of advice, "when you are used to flying with the turkeys, don't think you can hang with the eagles."  This was a great group of guys who had great bikes and lots of exerience.   I really have to thank them for all the help and support they gave me.  Well as you guessed it, I got my first taste of roadrash and luckily, minor damage to the bike.  Second bit of advice, "safety gear works, use it no matter how uncomfortable you think it is."  I think I finally conviced my wife that investing in a set of leathers would be worth it.  That would have prevented any road rash at all.  You can see some of the shots from the road trip at the link at the bottom of this paragraph.  Payson Road Trip.
Well the knee is better and I am back at it again.  Before doing any major work, I invested in a set of Fieldsheer X-Speed 2000 leathers.  New clutch lever and a set of tear drop turn signals just for the heck of it.  Threw a nail from my rear tire on the way to the fair and that set me back over $200.00, but all in all the bike still runs great.
