Week 10 Friday 05-09-03 Accutane continues to be cruel to me. My skin felt great at the beginning of the week, but now I'm breaking out again; I feel a lot of pimples under the skin- a few have emerged around my chin and jaw line, and there's at least one respectable cyst on my shoulder that made laying in bed uncomfortable. I can't win - if I'm on my back, it hurts, and if I lay on my sides, I'm afraid that the pillow germs will make my face break out even worse! ARRGHH! When will it end?! But wait - as I'm analyzing my shoulders, I'm noticing that I don't feel nearly as many "plugs" in the patches I've had up until today. I had quite a fun nosebleed this week. I was asleep when it started, and woke up choking on the blood running down my throat. Not much new to say, really. I'm getting a little nervous because I'm still breaking out and I'm nearing the final stretch of my treatment. I guess I need to face up to the very likely possibility that I may need a second course, or that accutane isn't going to work for me at all. :-( 6 Weeks to go!
