Hank Greenberg cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Brentwood Bearcats
outscored the Lake Erie Mohawks in 10 innings 7 to 6.

The score was tied at 6 after nine.  Brentwood came out on top in the 10th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Cal Ripken Jr. reached on an error.  Babe
Ruth stepped up next and he drew a walk.  Greenberg followed, but he was set
down on strikes.  Sammy Sosa followed and he laced a single scoring the run.
The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.

Hal Newhouser(1-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Luis
Tiant recorded his 1st save.  Robb Nen(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3
innings of work.
