WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Rogers Hornsby robbed Bobby Bonds of a base hit.

Left fielder Ed Delahanty had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the North Eaton Posy
DagGumits won in dramatic fashion over the Bat Cracking Bombers by a score of
11 to 8 at Tiger Stadium.

North Eaton had the game winning rally in the 9th inning as they scored 6 runs
on 5 base hits.  The highlight belonged to Tris Speaker who quieted the crowd
when he doubled bringing in two baserunners.  For the game North Eaton
out-hit Bat Cracking 17 to 12.

Jimmy Key(1-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Willie
Hernandez(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  Bat Cracking's manager was
understandably not very talkative after his team's tough loss.  He quickly
showered and changed and when asked about the game had a terse, yet polite
response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker to lose.  Our guys gave
it their all and played well - fate just wasn't smilin' on us tonight'
