Underground Railroad Quilt
This is my rendition of the Underground
Railroad Quilt. I used the Jacob's Ladder pattern, 1800's reproduction fabrics
and set it in a rail road crossing setting.
This was my first baby doll quilt.
I used a square template and cut them out with scissors.
Can you believe it? I tied it and backed it with flannel.
It sure loves her babies real good!!
For Christmas one year, I made one for each of the little girls in my family
with a teddy bear and label that match the background of the quilt.
Needless to say, they are still enjoying them.
Oh, by the way, this is Kailan
This one was made from a picture in a magazine.
I hand pieced and hand quilted it. Some of the fabrics
were from clothes I had made for my child.
She really loves this one.

Idea: Let us put one of your favorite pictures of him/her on the label.
Overall Sam is Precious!! He was machine applique'd,
made from assorted blues and yellows, of 100% top grade,
cotton fabric with cotton batting. It was machine quilted for added durability.

elephants, monkeys and giraffes, top grade
100% cotton, cotton batting and machine quilted for added durability.
