Volunteering Experience
Worked as a United Nations Volunteer Specialist in the republic of Yemen during the period 1993 - 1996. The main objectives of my work plan there were staff training (geologists, geophysicists, engineers and technicians) on seismological instrumentation, seismological network design and operation, seismological data collection, processing and interpretation.

Besides training, I supervised the establishment of a homogenized seismological database for Yemen and established the basic grounds for applied research in observational seismology and seismic hazard assessment.

Volunteered to provide translations and community support through my kids local school in terms of translating newsletters and important announcement and liaisoning with Arab students families (especially new immigrants and refugees who have language difficulty) during interviews and other specific needs.
