| 07/02/2001 - Just came back from Napa...Got to go up to Kaz & chris' house in a Ford Mustang Convertible with erin & tara. (I realize now that i hate those cars...). I'm burnt to a crisp!! Oh well...live & learn. Went to a tour at Opus One...it was a great tour. But the wine tasting was EXPENSIVE!! Unfortunately, Bert was really sick so was unable to hang out with us, as much as he would've liked. We had a barbeque dinner for Tara, Raye, & Lisa, which, as always, tara slept through. She was awoken with the birthday cake and birthday song coming right at her. The photos should be REALLY good!! :) I got my hair cut on Sunday by Mrs I. Nice & short for the summer. (Not quite sure how I'll put it into a ponytail, but...). We all went to the North Face Outlet sale. I went pretty much BUCK WILD!!! Got a REALLY good deal on stuff!! We finally left around 6:00pm. We didn't get home until after 1:00pm. Erin, the trooper, drove ALL the way home!! |
| 07/05/2001 - Happy day after 4th of July! Hope everyone had a good day off! I spent the day w/Sao & Darin. We hiked in the morning (Rocky Peak Trail to Hummingbird Trail)...it was a fun hike. We barbqued at nite. Go, Sao. |
| 07/12/2001 - I'm leaving tomorrow on a 10 day business trip...no more updates until after the 23rd!! have a great week!! |
| 07/25/01 - So, how much trouble can one get into in Las Vegas. A lot. I think I averaged 4 hours of sleep per nite. And that was a good nite. BBSI was like summer camp for adults. It was a bit too crazy. We worked hard, but played hard, too. At the beginning of the week, Bergt & I hung out a lot. Friday nite to Rum Jungle (i went home early), Saturday nite @ Drai's, Sunday stayed in, Monday nite was the Formal Event, Tuesday was the cocktail party, Wednesday was the company dinner, Thursday was Baby's, Friday was Rum Jungle, Saturday was more Rum Jungle, Sunday nite was more Rum Jungle. (Do you notice a theme here?) Elaine & I together, is possibly the worst & best thing that could happen. Elaine & I share the same conservative, religious views, but we also know how to get ourselves into a whole lot of trouble!! It's been great getting to know her better...hopefully, we won't get ourselves killed or thrown into jail. Elaine was supposed to catch a flight out on sunday, which got cancelled...so that just meant more trouble for us to get into. At first we thought to behave and just go out for dinner...which is what we did. We just added on a "last nite" at Rum Jungle with Bergt. Bergt was clearly bored, as were we. Elaine gets up & introduces herself to some folks that were around. She invites me over & we get into a conversation. Turns out these guys were firemen from Chicago. Very nice, fun guys. We had a great time. Hopefully on our next trip out to Chicago we'll be able to hook up w/them!! Well, the BBSI was a success...i'm tired as death, but here I am.... |
