July 26, 2004 - Ok, so at last check I was at 134 pounds.  Not quite the massive weight loss that I was hoping for, but at least I showed a loss, right?  My hunger level has gone up a lot.  I pretty much want to eat everything in sight, but I’m sure that has something to do with the fact that I run pretty much everyday.  I’m going to start doing cardio 3 times a week and resistance training 3 times a week instead.  I’ll see if there’s any difference or improvement.  My clothes don’t fit any differently but my mommy says she can see my face slimming down a bit.  I think that probably has more to do with the fact that I look a lot tanner since I started running than my face actually having slimmed down.

This weekend was great – I spent the day at the beach with my friend, Kristi.  Just slept, ate, & read.  It was great!!  I’ll have to do that again soon!  Actually, I’ll be doing that on Friday in Palm Beach!!  J  Massage in the morning, pool in the afternoon.  It’s going to be a great day!  Aaahhhh…it’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!!

I just finished DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.  It really was a great book.  As I was reading it, I just thought to myself, “dang…this guy must be really, really smart to be able to come up with these things!”  The religious references in the book really made me a bit uncomfortable, though.  Other than that, I really liked it.  I can’t wait for him to come out with another book!  I’ve read Angels & Demons and Digital Fortress already – both very good reads!!

Anyhow, I’m taking off this Wednesday night to go to Palm Beach – I don’t know why I decided it would be a good idea to take a red eye.  Ugh. I’m going to be DOG tired!!  One of my co-workers who lives out in that area will be picking me up – him & his wife have invited me over to their house for lunch.  That should be fun!  I hear his house is a total social entertainer’s paradise.  Hopefully, everything will work out perfectly so I won’t be stressed running around to get things done!  Have a nice week everyone!!

I’ve been debating how much of this I should share on a website viewed by…oh…a round number of three, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m just going to let it all hang out.  I’m tippin’ the scales at nearly 136 pounds.  I was pretty shocked when I stepped on the scale & saw that.  I wish I could say that it is muscle mass, but seriously, there just isn’t enough muscle on anybody’s body to explain that away.  So, as of last week, I’m back to doing weight watchers.  I debated on doing all sorts of different diets/programs and finally came to the conclusion that while this isn’t the best (quickest) dieting technique, it’s one that’s the most balanced & least extreme.  I’ve been walking/jogging/crawling the bike path almost everyday or going to the gym.  I haven’t seen any results yet, but I’ll keep you guys updated.  I’ll try to be as honest as possible.

This weekend was good – went shopping at Nordstrom’s (obviously NOT for clothes), spent too much money; went to dinner with Bert & Raye; church, LA Gift Show, & down to the beach.  It was relaxing but again, had to focus a lot on what I ate.  Sucks.  L  I’m leaving next week to go to Palm Beach.  I wonder if I can drop 20 pounds in 2 weeks.  Hmmmm….

I heard through the grapevine that Randy’s getting married – randy, if you’re reading this – congratulations and best wishes!

This weekend was GREAT!!  On Friday, I went to the Dodger's game after our company picnic (sucked...yeah, I had a hand in that one, but I kinda flaked out with everything since I was so busy) with Beth.  One of her friends knows the assistant coach for the Dodgers & hooked us up with great seats behind home plate!!  I had a couple of beers, hot dogs, nachos & cotton candy.  YUM!!  Oh yeah, it was a good game, too - even though they lost!

Saturday, I went to the Sound of Music sing along at the Hollywood Bowl. Erin & I decided to meet at the Park & Shuttle on Ventura.  It was great - no traffic or anything...AND just $3 for the shuttle to the HB.  Erin & I
shared a bottle of wine (man, I think I'm turning into an alcoholic!!), cheese, bread, grapes, and salami. YUMMMMMMMY!  The Lisle (sp?) & Luisa from the Sound of Music showed up at the show, as well!

All in all, a very good & relaxing weekend!

ThisI just love 3 day weekends!  They're the best.  Why can't every weekend be a 3 day weekend.

I had a really relaxing holiday.  On Saturday, I went down to San Diego to hang with Tosh.  We started off by going to dim sum (YUM), then took off to go to the Korean Spa.  This is where it gets a bit gross. Basically, the service we got was called "Akasuri" which means to slough off dead skin.  They use specialized mitts which cause your skin to literally roll off your body.  I had dead skin all around me.  REALLY gross.  But let me tell you, it left me feeling
softer than a baby's butt!!  I also got a massage from her.  Oh my good lord, I knew I was in trouble the moment the woman hopped on & straddled my back.  It hurt like CRAZY!!

After the torture, we went down to the Four Seasons for afternoon tea, where we devoured our food...as a matter of fact, it was enough to tide me over through dinner.  Well, as you know, the day is never complete without a stop at the Carlsbad Outlets.  Did a bit of damage there.

On my way home, i was so hyped up on tea, that i decided to drive all the way up to Valencia to go to Henry's party.  As Henry was already smashed, along with a few others who could barely function, I decided to be responsible with Erin & help clean up the joint.  Ugh.  That rather sucked, but it was better than looking as foolish as the drunks.

Also went to see Spiderman 2 this weekend.  I think it was actually better than the first one, but just not as funny.

Let's see...oh yeah...i'm going to Boston at the beginning of August with Erin.  And Henry.  Yes, that would be THE henry from New York.  I hope I don't have to kill him.  That would suck.  I asked Miles & Aya, too, but since Miles sucks, they said no.  Oh well, that's just less oxygen that gets sucked up in Boston by Miles' shnoz.
