June 28, 2004 - This weekend was a busy weekend.  I hosted a birthday party for Lisa N, Andy, Raye, & Mom and Father's Day Lunch on Saturday.  We went to Sea Empress for Dim Sum.  It was CHEAP-O!!  That's where dad's 75th birthday party will be this year!  After lunch, Bert, Raye, Lisa & I went to see Harry Potter (better than the last one, IMHO) and The Chronicles of  Riddick (not as good as Pitch Black).  In between the two movies, we went to
Killian's for 1/2 price appetizers.  There may have been a beer there, as well.

Sunday was Mariko & Mike's wedding in San Ysdiro!  It was so beautiful. Mariko was a STUNNING bride!!  She just looked so beautiful!!  Not that  I expected any less, but she just looked fabulous!  It was a small and intimate wedding - the greatest thing about it was that it gave the bride & groom an opportunity to really spend time with their guests!  And since  I don't see Mariko more than once a year (if that), it made it all the better! It was great seeing people I haven't seen since we were kids!  Catching up with Pam & Paul was great as well since I haven't seen them in 5 - 10 years!

Here are some picks from the wedding.  The cake that I added flowers too.  Me doing what I do best.

June 21, 2004 - Happy birthday to Kristi(21st birthday on the 12th), Hiromi(16th) &Jeff(19th)!!

Last week was pretty busy.  After getting home from Las Vegas, I turned right back around & flew out to Oahu.  I’ve noticed that I’ve become a bit of a diva in that I had to use points just so that I could fly 1st class.  I don’t know why I felt the need, but I just wanted to be a bit more pampered.  I’m such a spoiled brat now!!!

I stayed at the Ihilani, Mandarin Oriental, & Turtle Bay Resort.  Thumbs up to Ihilani & Turtle Bay!  Ihilani has an awesome spa!!  (If you guys have chance, be sure to book an appointment with Marcel – he’s awesome!!  Did I mention he’s cute, too??)  Turtle Bay has definitely gone through a lot of upgrades & renovations.  An improvement that they need to make (and soon) is the spa.  They really need to keep up with the local competition.  The Mandarin Oriental is cool b/c it’s so close to town & they have the Dolphin Quest.  I was seriously obsessed with the Dolphins.  So darn cute!

I got back to LA around 5:30AM on Thursday, went home, took a shower & was at the office by 6:30am.  It was a pretty crazy day – they let the National Accounts & Credit Card dept go the Tuesday before…once again, while I was away on business, someone got let go.  It just never fails.  That evening was Shirley & Roger’s rehearsal dinner!  I was so completely wiped out I couldn’t believe that I was actually subsisting on less than 2 hours of sleep…on a plane!

Saturday was the big wedding day!  As usual, I was late to the Yosh’s house…by about an hour.  Aya & I went to Happy Nails where I got one of the worst pedicures ever.  Urgh.  I normally get pretty decent mani/pedi’s there but that was pretty bad.  The wedding was beautiful & you could tell that Shirley put a lot of thought & effort into creating the perfect wedding!!  Congrats to Shirley & Roger!
