★My Favorite Trees★

November 1,2003 we bought 2 redwood trees and 3 cypress trees. They are the last ones that we intended to buy. So now I am going to show you all the trees that we have.

	2006 California Coastal Redwood Brandy is dead but this tree became this tall.

	2003 Cherry We bought this cherry tree in 2002. This one too died.

	2003 Flowering Pear This tree will give us beautiful white flowers in the spring and it will grow tall. It will shade our future pond. 実のならないなしの木。きれいな花が春先咲きます。この木で将来の池は日陰になることでしょう。暑いサクラメントでは日陰はなくてはならないものです。

	2003 Willow Oak This willow oak and the flowering pear came from Sacramento Tree Foundation. When we got it, there were no leaves. Now I like this tree. I know this will be a beautiful tree. We just planted in a wrong place. This should have been planted in the flowering pear location. 柳樫？無理に日本語にしてみました。とにかく美しい樫の木になることでしょう。植える場所をまちがえました。本来はなしの木の位置に植える予定でした。

	2003 Pear Real pear tree. We will get pears from this tree maybe in 5 years? 実のなるなしの木です。早く実がならないかな？

	2003 Satsuma Mandarin My favorite fruit. We had many little mandarin this spring. But they all dropped down. 薩摩という種類のみかんの木です。いっぱい実がなったのに、みんな落ちてしまいました。

	2003 Grapefruit This little tree that we planted last year has 3 huge grape fruits. I cannot wait to eat them!. 去年植えたグレープフルーツなのに、もう大きな実が３つたわわになってます。重そうなの。はやく色づかないかな？

	2003 Lemon Tree We planted this tree last year too. It grew so tall. At least 7 feet or 8 feet. This spring, it had 3 or 4 lemons but they all dropped off. In the late summer this year, I found one flower. Yes, there is a little lemon baby on this fast growing lemon tree. 去年はとてもオチビさんだったレモンですがもう、２メートルはあります。季節外れの花からひとつレモンがなってます。まだまだちいさいですが。

	Grapefuit Back side of the grapefruit. You can see two big fruits. さっきのグレープフルーツの木を反対側から見た写真です。ね。大きな実がふたつ。
	2003 Fig tree and Redwood . It is tough to detect this little fig tree and skinny redwood before the huge pine tree. But they are there beyond the retaining wall left green is the fig tree. Behind the fig tree to the right with a support, there is a redwood. イチジクと杉の木。我が家の庭の左のほうに小さいいちじくが、そのうしろに寄木つきのが杉の木。わかりにくいよね。

	2003 3 cypress trees . They are very small right now but they will grow 90 feet. 糸杉、３０メートルも育つそうです。ま、そのころにはわたしはこの世にいないからいいか。でもものすごく背の高い木ですよね。

	Pine Tree . This was here when we purchased this home. We just love this tree.

	Red Oak . We have to have a big shade tree for the windows that face toward the west. This oak will give us a good shade in 30 years?
