ABOUT US

Our names are Adam and Angela Mayne, and we are relatively new to the world of Boxers, which begun when we picked up an 8 week old main registered Flashy Brindle Boxer puppy in July 2002. "Rocky" became the start of MayneBoxers (not registered, as we have no bitch, and it costs money to hold a prefix). We are a SMALL "KENNEL", and plan to stay that way, so we can give enough time and energy into each of our dogs. We plan on breeding Boxers with titles on BOTH ENDS of their names.

We have just relocated to the Sunshine Coast, from Hervey Bay Qld, where we lived for 6 months, and were members of the Hervey Bay Kennel and Obedience Club. We learnt a few extra Obedience trial tricks to take into our next Obedience Trial, as well as got started on learning the basics of Agility and Jumpers, which Rocky, as well as our Labrador Molly, just ADORE!!! We would like to thank Lorraine, Winston, and all the club members for welcoming Angela and Rocky to the club, and making us feel welcome - we will be back for trials early next year (fingers crossed).

Previous to this, we lived in Bundaberg Qld, and were members of the Obedience Dog Club of Bundaberg. Since joining the Bundaberg club, we have achieved our Obedience Sweepstakes Certificate, and our Endurance Test Title (ET) which we did in July, and August 2004 respectively. We’d like to thank this club, especially the Instructors Rocky and I have had - John, Vivian, Margaret, and Barbara the advanced trainer. I'd also like to say a huge thanks to the whole club, as they are very supportive, and taught me a LOT and encouraged me to improve for my own and Rocky's benefit, and to give Obedience Trials a shot. We wouldn't have even considered it before this time.

Angela LOVES animals so much, she's just got a job at one of the nearby Vet Surgery's as a Vet Nurse. Since starting there, she has learnt a lot about Vaccinations, Flea and Worm control, Nutrition, as well as X-ray & Surgical procedures. She also volunteers at the local zoo on her days off, and hopes to get a job there soon, working on weekends as a Zookeeper. Adam also loves animals, but earns his money as a Route Sales Rep. He's considering switching careers this year though, and has applied for a job as a Trainee Customs Officer at Brisbane Airport. PLEASE WISH HIM LUCK:)

We are also looking to Import Ebony aka Kenon's Ebony n Lights from the US mid-way through 2006, if we've saved up enough money by then :) If you'd like to find out more about Ebony, check out some of her "get", please feel free to check out the "girls" section of our website.

Angie "hard at work" being a Koala Keeper. This is her with Alexia her favourite Koala. It's a tough life being a Zoo Keeper :)
