CD-ROM Can't read a CD-R or CD-RW
Symptom :
This occurred while
insert a CD-R into CD-Rom drive. When double click to browse files or folder
from CD-R, window notice dialog displayed as : "There
is no media in your CD-Rom drive!"
Possible caused by
CD-R or CD-RW is not
compatible for this CD-Rom
CD-R or CD-RW is not
completion during burn process
CD-R or CD-RW is too
dirty.
Solution For Win XP :
Loads a CD-R or CD-RW
into the CD-Rom drive
Right click, select Open
or Explorer. It might appears as same as described in Symptom
Right click, select
Properties. Now CD-Rom Properties is appeared.
Hardware tab and click,
select a CD-Rom drive (in case you have more than 1 CD-Rom drive) (See Fig - 1)

Once, you may see Device
Properties (below) and Device Properties
Volume tab and click, you
may see Populate wait for a few seconds The volumes contained on CD-R or
CD-RW are listed as in Fig - 2

Click OK to exit, now you can even Open or Explorer your CD-Rom drive
Try other solution :
Cleans by soft
clothes (referred to a CD-R or CD-RW cleaning instruction on CD-R cover)
Using the IsoBuster
software to extract all file in a disc and try to re-write new one.
