1
I was in the new house I had just bought, with its previous owner, Anthony Boreford. We had just gotten up from a nap. He crawled out of his bed and I stayed in mine. He walked about the house and was doing various things, and he never did leave my sight. He started talking to me and I got as far as sitting on the edge of my bed but never left it because he was always around and I guess I didn't want him to see me in my underwear or something like that. I recall seeing him doing minor repairs and maintenance and building things around the house. He hammered some special nails into something. The nails had round metal collars on them that broke off when he hammered them halfway in, and they were supposed to be that way, signifying some superior type of nail. Later, the two of us were by a lake or other body of water. There were several flotation devices to choose from and one of them was a kayak that I owned, but let Anthony use. I described to him how neat it was and that it was the funnest thing to be in the water with. It had a strange rudder-like attachment that was difficult to put on. There were other people with us but I can't remember who they were. When we had reached the other side of the lake, I was given the kayak to paddle back with. It was then that I noticed it was about as thin and round as a pencil and impossible to sit in. I sat on it and had a paddle that was short and barely moved me along. As the others swam alongside me, I tried hard to keep from sinking. I thought the kayak would have been better and would be able to keep me ahead of everyone else, but it was a joke.
2
I was by my house, but it was different. The house was by a lake or swamp or other body of water. I went outside and went down a gully to gather wood for a fire. I was in a place that once had water in it, but now it was dry and I was concerned about the dryness of the branches, logs and twigs I gathered. I immediately spotted Donald Notches and his wife, Cynthia. We all acted casually as if we had just seen each other yesterday, when in fact it’s been years. Cynthia was smiling all the time and was very talkative and happy which surprised me. Donald talked to me about some stuff but I can't remember what.
3
I was sitting at a table, maybe in my house, but it didn't look like my house. There was a blanket covering me while I sat at the table and for some reason I had taken all my clothes off. The blanket continued to cover my waist but I was afraid to leave the table because there were a lot of people there and they would see me naked. Eventually I ended up in a room and was able to start putting my clothes on. People kept interrupting me and making it frustrating. My dad showed up and he said something to me and when I answered him back he said, "If I didn't care would I be here?" He was smiling, walking and was healthy.

1
I was with Lisa, I think, and we were, or at least I was, naked. I was slicing up a tomato and using the tomato slices to put in front of my crotch area so no one would see it as I walked around. The slices were pretty straight and even, but the last part of the tomato was warped and squishy as if it was cut with a dull knife. I began to walk around the house and was wondering if people would see me naked as I held the tomato slice in front of my penis. I think I did run into somebody.
2
I was sitting at a picnic bench in the parking lot that was across the street from the college I went to. I was still naked. I made no attempt to dress myself and if I had to, I would have had to run across the street to where I used to live to get my clothes. It was okay for a while, but then Bob said something like, "And all these people are here, too." I wasn't sure what he was talking about until suddenly a large group of people started crowding into the parking lot, people I wasn't really familiar with. I started to panic because I didn't want them to see me naked, so I acted casually like it was no big deal. I asked someone to go across the street to get me my shorts and they returned with a hackey-sack. There was a slit in it and I found it impossible to slip my feet into it, much less pull it up over my thighs. I realized that hackey-sacks were not made to wear, so I asked Charles to cross the street to get my shorts. As he was gone, the people that showed up began walking around the table as if touring the parking lot. I just sat there and tried to joke about my being naked. Everyone noticed and it was embarrassing, but as they walked by me I said something like, "And you can find this outfit at JCPenney...$9.95..." I twisted in my seat as if modeling an imaginary outfit. It was humorous, but I still wished I had clothes on. There were about two other people there that were naked but for some reason it was all right for them. I didn't want to be like them, though. Charles returned but all he had was a pair of underwear. I can't recall if I ever tried them on.

I was in a restaurant with Charles and Lisa. Charles had a Mohawk haircut and the hair he had was pretty long, stretching down the middle of his back. He kept pitching me shit about how lucky and famous I was (as if I was). He was angry that I was getting so much attention from everyone and it reminded me of what Donald Notches was like towards me. I remember Charles saying: "You're on the news," like I thought I was tough shit because I was on TV or something. Eventually he started getting real mad and started chasing me around the restaurant. We overturned tables and chairs and disrupted other people's dinners. Finally, I was outside and it was night. I was running across the restaurant parking lot, trying to get away from Charles. It was really misty, almost foggy, and faint car headlights loomed in the distance. Busty Levers was driving a station wagon and he was my means of escape. The station wagon was driving away from me so I grabbed the metal luggage rack on the top and held on. This caused me to be lifted into the air as my body flew horizontally behind me. Busty was driving pretty fast so I held on the best I could and continued to fly along the back of the car. Eventually Busty slowed down, not much, but it was enough for me to let go of the rack on top. I ran as fast as I could to catch up with Busty as he continued to drive on. I ran so fast that I nearly fell on my face. There was a slight incline so it was hard for me to slow down as I ran. I made giant leaps and bounds as I ran. I had to end up running with my left leg and hopping with my right leg to prevent from sprawling across the parking lot. There was a car coming from behind and I knew it was Charles. Once Busty stopped the station wagon and Charles opened the passenger side door to try to get in as he pulled alongside of us with his car, but Busty grabbed the door shut before Charles could do that. As the car from behind got closer, I finally reached Busty. He stopped so I could get in, but then, just up ahead on the road, I could see Plato and he was meowing like he wanted in with us. Busty stayed still just long enough for Plato to jump in the car with us. He jumped onto Busty's leg and dug his claws into him. I asked Busty if it bothered him and he said, "I don't give a shit," then we drove on.

I was swimming upstream in a raging river. Trees and logs and other debris swept past me because the current was so strong, but I managed to move upstream rather easily. I was deep in a forest somewhere. I recall seeing giant logs break away from the bank of the river and float past me. I was going upstream until I saw a family of bears coming downstream towards me. Not wanting to get attacked by them, I turned around and started going downstream. I then noticed that there was a family of bears in front of me, but the current was so strong that they were unable to get to me and I stayed out of their reach. Therefore, there were bears upstream coming after me and bears in front of me which I stayed out of reach from.
2
I was at a village in the woods where certain people go to live a new life and get away from it all. There was a mountain man who sang songs non-stop and the people in the village would sing along with him at certain times. After singing his second song I cheered and said, "Beautiful." Nobody else cheered and I had the feeling this set me apart from everyone else, showing I was new to the place. His song was sang in falsetto and I wondered if I would be able to hit those notes. I saw Morris Tanker from Junior High School sitting on a little embankment, so I sat next to him and started talking to him. He said that he had heard that I had went through some rough times a few years ago and I told him that yes I did, but everything's fine now. I went on to explain what else was happening with my life but he suddenly said he had to go and I didn't finish talking. For some reason I thought he was up to no good, but I did not follow him. The continuous song-singing in the village, I knew, would eventually get annoying.

1
It was winter and I was at the entrance to the driveway leading into the building where I work. There was a gate across the entrance because the plant was closed. There was ice on the roads and apparently that was why the gates were closed. The entrance looked different, like the entrance to a park or campground I was at once years ago. There were woods all around. Tina Spanks was there and her car was stuck in the snow and couldn't move. It was so icy that you could easily push the vehicles with your hand. I got out and then Tina started to push my truck out of the way. At first I didn't think it would go in the ditch but then my truck slid off the road and into a ditch (Tina was laughing about it). My truck went up over the ditch and onto an embankment in the woods. It was stuck so I climbed a tree to look down over our stuck vehicles. I discovered that to unstick our vehicles I had to pry loose some branches that were holding them in position. From up above I jumped onto the group of branches once, twice and then the third time the conglomeration of branches came loose and I came tumbling down with them. The branches were a mass of boards, nails and trees all bunched together and it should have severely hurt me, but I felt nothing. I was thinking that maybe later I would be in pain, but I never was. It was strange, but suddenly that mass of debris that fell that I jumped on was a staircase that I had in my house somewhere, and those stairs were a major part of a project I was working on at work.
2
I was at home. There were a lot people at my house and they were all from work. I remember seeing Tex Mettitesh and I knew he would be wondering why the staircase was destroyed, which was a major link in the outcome of this very important work project. I was worried about this a lot. There were a lot of people on the upper level balcony of my home, looking down. They were stuck up there because there were no stairs to get down. I could see the place where the stairs used to be from several different angles, and some people commented on how much better it looked with no stairs there. Doris Tate was with someone, maybe my brother Charles, and they were going to count the rooms or floors in the house by bouncing a small rubber ball one time for every room (or level). Doris bounced it once and before she could catch it, I grabbed the ball in mid-air. Her and Charles looked angrily at me so I returned the ball to them.
3
I was sitting at a table with Henry Tooter, Gayle Brothers, and some other people. At the head of the table was a very rich Japanese man called Mr. Toguchi. The three of us (Gayle and I mainly) were trying to convince Mr. Toguchi of this great, profitable idea that he should spend his money on, but I can't remember what the plan was. As this was going on, there were a bunch of guys sitting at another table across from us that were in the shadows and we could not see their faces. They started to pitch Henry mass shit about something, but what that was I can't remember. Henry was getting really pissed off and began mouthing-off back to them. I saw a fight brewing so I tried to calm Henry down but it was no use. It was pretty embarrassing with Mr. Toguchi sitting there. Eventually Henry got up, madder than hell, and proceeded to jump after the guys and I guess he went to go fight. All the people at my table left except for Gayle, Mr. Toguchi and myself. Therefore I slid over to Gayle and Mr. Toguchi and immediately began apologizing to Mr. Toguchi about Henry's behavior. I wanted his money for our idea, as did Gayle, and I didn't want to blow it. He said not to worry about it and to call him Joe instead of Mr. Toguchi. Joe must've been his first name. He still seemed interested in our plan. The next thing I knew, we were in an elegant fancy house, sitting in the living room discussing the deal further. Suddenly we looked out the big living room window and saw a bunch of rough-looking dudes come riding up into the driveway on motorcycles with Henry in the lead, only he wasn't Henry anymore - he was now Jethro. It appeared he had made friends with the guys that were at the other table in the shadows and they decided to come to Joe's house. Jethro got off his motorcycle and walked up to the window. He pointed a machine-gun/rifle into the living room and we were worried he would start shooting. He did. For some reason we knew he would not shoot us, so we just sat there unconcerned as bullets sprayed through the glass and ripped up the living room. After about thirty seconds of shooting, I told Gayle and Joe to get down and we laid under coffee tables, flat on the floor. Jethro eventually stopped shooting and came inside. Joe's living room was shot up pretty bad. I remember examining bullet holes in the walls and Formica. One bullet hole went through the plaster in the wall but not through the Formica underneath. Joe started crying because of all the damage. He suddenly got up and went into his bathroom and took a shower. Gayle went in there with him to once again apologize for Jethro's (Henry's) behavior. I was thinking she was gonna get in the shower with him and score some points that way. Jethro and I sat in the living room and I asked him why he shot the place up. He looked at me calmly and answered in a soft voice, but I can't remember what he said or what we talked about after that as we sat on adjoining couches.

April 21st, 1989

I was sitting on a couch next to another couch where a women sat. There were several women in the room, all sitting around. I crossed my legs and put them in the yoga position, rather tightly and better than I ever could in real life. All the women commented on how they could not do it and they tried and tried. They didn't even come close. I was in bare feet and was worried that the women would think my toes were ugly so I covered them up. My toenails needed cutting and they curved rather grossly but none of the women seemed to care so I took my hands off them and stopped worrying about it.

I was driving down 176th Street when I noticed a cop car behind me. It turned on it's pullover lights, which seemed red as I remember them. They flashed once and the siren sounded. They turned off and I wasn't sure if the cop was really pulling me over, but as I looked in my rear-view mirror, I saw the lights flash again. I felt a little amazed for I haven't been pulled over before and now knew that I was getting pulled over for the first time. I remember seeing lots of trees along the highway. The cop walked up to my window and said, "We have a special today: Get two tickets for the price of one!" I inquired as to what he meant and he asked if I wanted two tickets and only pay for one. I explained how I didn't want any and I never did get one. I guess he let me off with a warning.
2
I was watching Charles - he and I were both in a tree, but not the same one. I was above him and he was on the very spindly top of a tree beside me. He swayed dangerously around in the air on the skinny top but he did it very professionally. It was somehow analogous to him playing the drums, like treetop-swaying was his area of expertise, instead of or in addition to playing the drums. I sort of grabbed onto him or he grabbed onto me and we swayed from the top of the tree. The top bent down and almost broke because it was bent so much. The next thing I knew was standing on the ground with Bob and we were looking at Charles climbing a tree. He was climbing the tree where we used to have our tree house on the top of South Hill. He was on about the fourth or fifth step up, ten feet off the ground. Bob and I were on the backside of the tree and could not see Charles very well so we walked around to the front. As we watched from this angle, we saw him grab onto a step that was not nailed in very well and it looked as though it would give and he would fall to the ground.

April 26th, 1989

I was by the Vet Clinic at the top of South Hill. I was picking up dirt clods for some reason and Donald and Cynthia were there and were also picking up clumps of dirt. They weren't talking to me and it was because they were pissed off at me for some reason. I talked to them and tried to get their attention and I was getting mad because they wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. Finally Cynthia spoke to me and explained that she was mad because Donald came home drunk after he was out with me. I got upset and said something like, "It was him that got himself drunk, not me." Then I realized that this probably made Donald look bad so I said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I hung my head and walked away.

1
Charles and I were in Arkansas. Jethro was with us and I kept debating whether or not I should go back to Washington State. Jethro had written a letter to Peter Peckster. There were some parts of the letter that he had crossed out because it had been mean. One whole paragraph was scratched out and there were a couple of words that he had added lines to, to make them look like different words. "You Fish" was one set of words he had added lines to, to make it look like different words, but I don't remember what the new words were. I could make out what was beneath the scribbles on the paragraph but I can't recall what it had said, whatever the hell that means. Plato was with us and he was occasionally popping out from behind boards and meowing throughout the dream.
2
Jethro, Charles and I were with Jethro's dad in the backyard of the house they used to live at in Arkansas. It was real early in the morning, so early that it was still dark. Jethro's dad had chores for us to do and he said something like, "I have three strong-working guys so we should be able to get this done today." The stuff he wanted done had something to do with the yard. He showed me what he wanted done by pulling a thin pick-like tool through the sod and digging a thin line in the dirt below. The pick lifted up the sod and pushed it aside like a mini-plow. I asked what he wanted this done for and he said it was for some planting or something like that. I took over and began dragging the pick through the dirt. When it wasn't digging deep enough, Jethro's dad would remind me to dig deeper. I pulled the pick along but I couldn't dig in a straight line. The tool kept veering off to the right and the small trench was crooked. At one point, crabs suddenly appeared in the yard and one of them clung onto the pick. I lifted the pick into the air and the crab pinched onto the end, holding on. There were about four or five crabs and I somehow knew that they had been brought down from the Northwest with me when I came to Arkansas. They looked very healthy for they had somehow adapted to life in the grass and dirt. As they crawled awkwardly around, someone commented on how big they were.
